My July Hexy's to Hanne Hector Schroeder are headed to Denmark
My July Hexy's to Hanne Hector Schroeder are headed to Denmark. I hope you like them these are my first ever made!
July Hexies
I'm one of the new members to the group and am posting for the first time. Thank you to Karyli P. for the two ticking striped flowers for July. Also, thank you to Linda McC. for the red and gold print flower (for Sept? :-} ) . I love these!!!
Christine H. -- I apologize for not getting your hexies out sooner! It's a bit crazy around our house. I'm a longarm quilter and am busily working to get quilts done before Aug 10 as we are driving to Michigan to pack my mom up and move her into our home here in Minnesota! The past month has been filled with quilting and trying to get her room ready for when she moves in -- lets just say lots of paint, floor refinishing, swapping rooms (her room was my old craft room) and much more has been involved! I'll be putting your flowers in the post on Monday!
I better get back to work -- I've got curtain rods and curtains to hang, a elfa closet system to install and lots more!

I received this beautiful Hexie flower in the mail from Susan, one of our new members. The flower is absolutely beautiful. I love the fabric. The white sands, sun and sparkling blue water depicted in the postcard are so inviting. Thank you.
To Janet in Canada
I am running a little behind. I will be working on your flowers soon and get them mailed off to you. I am sorry for the delay! You will get extra goodies as an "I am sorry". Thank you!

July hexies in the mail
July hexies are on the way to Doris in Australia. However, due to my crazy week, I mailed them thinking I had pix, but I do not have any pix of the finished flowers to share, only a shot of the scraps left behind.

Surprise Mail
I received my July hexies in the mail today... why was this a surprise? Because I'd already got them the other week.
Turns out the earlier ones I received are meant to be September, but my swap partner was looking at the wrong list. So here is a reminder to be like Santa and check your list twice!
So here are my REAL July hexies, all the way from Hanne in Denmark.
Guess September will be a long month for me now, as I wont have any hexies to look forward to.

I don't know if any flowers were sent to me for June, but I didn't receive any. Hope they haven't gone awol.

Hexies Coming and Going!
Good Morning, Yeah, I know, It is Monday :(
but it is sunny, will be a high of 24 celcius, I think about 72-73 F. I can get thru those temps!
I just wanted to share some hexies with you....
These are from Ingred in Denmark...
She described where she lived on the back of the post card, now I want to travel to Denmark! It sounds so beautiful! I wonder if Ingrid and Pia are going to have a face to face trade for their hexies like Jacqueline and I did !
Here are hexies going to Pia in Denmark! Too bad I couldn't shrink wrap myself in the envelope!
Sorry these are so dark in the picture Pia!
I have lots of quilt photos from volunteering at our local Museum, I have to work on those posts over the week. Linda and I were surprised how many people came to see the quilts. Many people from out of town, knew people with quilts in the show or heard about the show from previous residents to the area! I never realized!
Plus I have to get the 2nd part of shopping in the City post done, I saved the best for last!
Hope you have a Happy Monday!
Take care, Leslie

Purple and Pink
Another weekend has gone by and I still haven't taken photos of the lovely hexie flowers that Doris made for me. I thought I should at least leave a quick note.
Thanks to Doris, the flowers are lovely, purple and pink are starting to dominate my collection. And thanks too to Doris for introducing me to the world of swapping.

My first received hexies
I posted this on Flickr but only just remembered I should post it here too.
I received my first hexies as part of the swap yesterday from Melody at The House on the Side of the Hill.
I just love them! The perfect way to start my garden. Melody also included a raffle ticket from her quilting group so maybe I'll be extra lucky ;)
I'd only just started thinking about my July hexies so I guess I'd better get a wriggle on.

Kristin's Hexies in the mail
This is my first month in the group, and I'm so glad to have found you. I think hexies are the best 'watching TV and sewing' project I've found. My July partner is Kristin in Canada, and here are the scrappy hexies she requested. One is in cool colors and one is in warm colors. Happy Canada Day, Kristin!! Kathie L in Allentown
